History

Whittington CPAs was organized in 2012 for the purpose of accounting and tax services for both individual and business clients. We are located near McGee's crossroads in Angier, NC.  Our professionals are committed to producing a product for our clients that exceed their expectations for accounting, tax, and/or consulting needs. 

This practice is actively registered with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.

David M. Whittington, CPA

David graduated from Campbell University in 2009 with a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors in Accounting. In November 2010 David obtained his Certified Public Accountant's License (#35637). David has worked in tax and accounting for a regional public accounting firm, a regional community bank, and a global software company. David has over 15 years of diverse experience in the tax, accounting, and finance field. David currently leads our tax and consulting engagements.

Heather D. Whittington, CPA

Heather is a Certified Public Accountant (License # 38406) and a graduate of Campbell University, with both a Bachelors in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree. Heather has over 15 years of experience in both the public accounting and corporate accounting fields, including publicly traded and global companies. Heather has served as an Adjunct Professor of Business, teaching accounting classes at Campbell University and currently leads our payroll, bookkeeping, tax and consulting engagements.

Carol S. Dobbs

Carol is member of our payroll, bookkeeping, and general accounting team. Carol brings a wealth of knowlege and experiance to assist clients in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and general office management. She is a Kentucky native and proud military wife for over 30 years.

Martha C. Goodman

Martha graduated from Campbell University in 2012 with a Bachelors in Accounting and Liberty University in 2013 with a Masters of Science in Accounting. She has over 10 years of experience in corporate accounting at a global software company. Martha joined Whittington CPAs in 2019 and proves to be an invaluable asset to both clients and Whittington CPAs.
